The agrobot engineering competition is a multi-year, friendly engineering competition where (student)teams design and build a prototype of a multi-functional agrobot. They openly share their ideas and knowledge after the competition event to bring the central engineering concept and the community around it further to build improved, more effective, more sophisticated prototypes.
The future market of agrobots for advanced biodiverse cultivation systems will be very diverse and consisting of many niches, with little competition in the niches. This means that a focus on cost sharing and joint development and standardisation will be the best way for tech companies to thrive and to make an affordable proposition to small-to-medium-sized farms.
